Cinematography, for me, is an act of movement—of following breath, rhythm, and form to create images that feel alive. Whether filming dance, live performance, or documentary, the camera is never static; it listens, responds, and moves in relationship with the subject.
This approach began in 2011 while documenting Vancouver’s underground music scene and has since evolved through internationally recognized projects in dance, performance, and documentary film. Each project is an exchange—between individuals and the lens, artist and audience, story and space.
My work has been featured on Netflix, CBC, Democracy Now, and in various print publications, always with the intent to create something that resonates beyond the frame.
